A group of persons surrounded Kelaniya Pradeshiya Sabha member Hasitha Madawala’s home last night (Jan. 07).
The politician told ‘Srilankamirror’ that he has managed to flee his home and is now in a safe location.
Mr. Madawala also said he would complain to police regarding the threat to him.
He claimed that minister Mervyn Silva has ordered to kill him as well as the chairman, the deputy chairman and another member of the Kelaniya PS.
A murder contract has been given to notorious underworld operatives Roshantha of Hikkaduwa and Majeed of Maligawatte, Mr. Madawala alleged.
These two gangsters, along with 25 others from Chilaw, are now staying in Colombo, he went onto say.
