LLRC report has forgotten the Sinhalese - Champika

The Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission report has crossed its limits, but its biggest blunder is making no mention about the Sinhalese people, alleges JHU secretary and minister Patali Champika Ranawaka.

Speaking to the media in Colombo today (Dec. 27), he said the LLRC has completely forgotten the around 21,000 Sinhalese, who, according to credible evidence, had lived in the North.

Also, it mentions nothing about the 9,878 Sinhala, Muslim and Tamil people who had been murdered by the LTTE, Mr. Ranawaka charged.

The LLRC describes the EPDP of minister Douglas Devananda as a paramilitary group, but conveniently omits to mention the injustices he had to undergo and as to why he taken up arms, he said.
