Navi Pillay came with the report prepared - Minister Manusha

Monitoring MP of the media ministry Manusha Nanayakkara emphasizes that Ms. Navi Pillai has come to Sri Lanka not to prepare a report on the situation in Sri Lanka as she has already made that report.
Govt MPs and ministers express different views on the UN high commissioner's Sri Lankan visit.

Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe said that a character like the UN human rights high commissioner, must behave in an unbiased manner.

Minister Wimal Weerawansha while speaking at a meeting, said that if President Rajapaksa did not win that day, the intention of Ms. Pillai's visit would be different.

Minister Basil Rajapaksa told in a political meeting that some people are preparing to complain to Ms. Pillai, even if their houses are robbed.

However, UNP warns that if the human right high commissioner produces an unsatisfactory report regarding Sri Lanka, it would create an unfavourable situation for the country in the next human rights summit.

Thus, UNP secretary MP Tissa Attanayake told Sri Lanka Mirror that instead of scolding Ms. Navi Pillai who is in Sri Lanka upon an official invitation of the Govt, Govt politicians should try to explain the truth.
