The Colombo High Court has fixed the trial to hear an abduction case involving an official of Deputy Resettlement Minister Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan alias Karuna.
Colombo High Court Judge Devika Tennakoon has fixed the trial for June 20.
The trial would hear the case against one of the Deputy Minister’s officials, Pubalapillai Kandarasa alias Rajan.
The suspect is accused of allegedly abducting a businessman from Kotahena in 2012 and demanding a Rs. 6 million ransom
